HERKIMER – Philip Caruso, Sr. passed away on May 25, 2018 with his loving family at his side.

He was born October 20, 1945 in Little Falls, NY, son of the late Patrick and Josephine (Parese) Caruso. He was educated in Frankfort. On May 14, 1971, he married the former Patricia Skowron. They were always together and were fortunate enough to winter vacation in Florida. Phil was a construction laborer by trade. He loved car shows, Tuesday night poker games, and most especially attending his grandchildren’s games.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia, his children, Philip, Jr. and his wife Deanna of Hamilton, and Walter and his fiancé Amanda Haynes of Herkimer, grandchildren, Hannah Caruso and Nicholas Caruso and his mother Jill Caruso, Taylor and Casie Hilsinger and a great-granddaughter Layla Hilsinger, a sister Marie LaVine and her husband Paul of Frankfort, sister-in-law, Gloria Jean Skowron and John Ludwig of Frankfort, close friends and family, Jim Alsante, Mike Spohn, Santo Carbone, Tom and Ron Futrell, Paulie LaVine, Aunt Roe and Uncle Chuck Coppola, Deb Fitch, John Kipper, Joe Tubia, several nieces, nephews and cousins and his special dog Harley. Also, a special thanks to Cindy and Jon Loiacano. He was predeceased by his sister Barbie Caruso, his parents, and a special friend Robert Fitch.
